My Review

5 Stars

I fell in love with Lukas. Wow he was like the perfect man all stuck into one package. Romantic, tatted, soulful, musician, and artist all those thing tied up one perfect man. This was my first book by Carian Cole and I can’t wait to read more.

Ivy is a 36 years old she has been married for 18 years to Paul and they have 2 kids. Macy is 18 and Tommy is 7. The night Ivy over hears her husband confess his love for someone else is the day her and the kids lives changes forever. Paul is the only man Ivy has been with for 18 years and sometimes over the years things change. Could she really feel this spark for this younger man?

Lukas is 24 years old and owns his tattoo studio with his brother. Lukas is an old soul who loves things that tell a story especially those of the Victorian era. When she walked in the door that night to get her very first tattoo something changed in him he felt the spark.

Even though Ivy wasn’t ready to date since it’s only been a few months since Paul left Lukas was persistent and knew she was the one. Lukas knew he wanted to get to know her more, but he was breaking rule number one do not get involved with the client. But could he make the exception for her? Could he be patient and wait till she was ready?

This was a wonderful story and you will not be disappointed. The story was told from Lukas and Ivy’s POV. The flow is great and so is the back story into both of their lives. Love the bird Rio he was funny makes me remember my childhood with birds and them picking up on what you say around them. Can’t wait to read the other books in this series.

Received an advance readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
