t only took an instant for her world to come crashing down…but Heart Fire Ranch is a place of new beginnings, even for those who find their way there by accident
As the only veterinarian in town, Justin Hart doesn’t have time to think about romance. So when A-list actress Alyssa Cole crashes her car outside his clinic, it’s entirely unexpected when there’s a spark between them he can’t ignore. Still, she’s a movie star, and he’s just a small town cowboy.
Alyssa has learned the hard way not to believe first impressions, especially not in Hollywood. But, 400 miles from her former life with nowhere to go and no one to turn to, she places her trust in the handsome vet who comes to her rescue.
There’s no denying the connection between them, but when Alyssa’s past shows up at the door, will their new relationship be able to withstand the storm?
This was a cute story about second chances and finding yourself again. This was the first book I read in this series and also the first book I have read by T.J. Kline.
Alyssa Cole was a movie star who had everything. When she met her husband and he became her manager he wanted to start his own agency. He used her money and slowly made her irrelevant in Hollywood. His career was soaring and she was happy that he was happy. Till one day her best friend took her to lunch and broke the news. So after she confronted her husband he kicked her out. Out on her own pregnant and nowhere to go she ends up in a snow storm and clips a dog with her car and hits the side of a porch.
Justin Hart is the veterinarian for the small town. He was up working one night and heard a bang he ran out and seen a car. He raced out to help when he noticed the most beautiful woman. Then saw her very pregnant belly. How could he feel this way for a woman when she belonged to someone else.
Along the way Lyssa lost herself and with Justin’s help she just might be able to find it again. With his help she just might be able to love again. But with a husband who was as vindictive as hers was she wasn’t so sure she would get her happily ever after.
This was a sweet love story. I wouldn’t mind going back and reading the other books in the series. I look forward to seeing what the author has coming up.
